Panther Polymer KIT #15 – Complete kit for processing and high-gloss polishing of dental polymers

Panther Polymer Kit 15 is a laboratory kit designed specifically for processing and high-gloss polishing of dental polymers - PMMA, CAD/CAM milled restorations and 3D printed prosthetic materials.

This is a two-step system that combines structural smoothing and mirror shine, with maximum control and minimal material stress. It works with a straight laboratory handpiece (shank 104-HP) and low speeds between 7,000 and 20,000 rpm, depending on the type of instrument.

The set includes:

Panther Groove PS210 (REF XPL 548 104 C, Ø21 × 3 mm, 7,000–12,000 rpm) – Tool with special lamellar geometry and material mixture for fast and clean removal of milling or 3D printing marks. It is recommended to use it with light pressure and controlled movements.

Panther Smooth PS160 (REF XPL 547 104 M, Ø16 × 3 mm, 7,000–12,000 rpm) – Designed for precise smoothing of surfaces, including hard-to-reach areas. Prepares the structure for final polishing. Use in smooth, circular motions.

Panther Smooth PT056 (REF XPL 111 104 M and XF, Ø5.6 × 13 mm, 8,000–20,000 rpm) – Suitable for final smoothing of detailed surfaces and for preparation before high gloss. The manufacturer recommends using low to medium pressure and avoiding sudden stops.

Panther Buff PB220 (REF XPL 628, Ø22 mm, 7,000–15,000 rpm) + Panther Paste 02 (REF XPL Paste02/40) – This is the perfect duo for final polishing. The special polishing paste in combination with Buff PB220 creates a mirror finish, adapted to all types of dental polymers. It is used without strong pressure, the paste is dosed sparingly.

Panther Tune 01 (REF XPL 932, 46 × 28 × 10 mm)
A unique diamond stone for precise correction and maintenance of the working geometry of the tools. Used when necessary to ensure maximum efficiency and long life of the remaining tools.

Recommendations:

Maximum effect at low speeds – all tools work best in the 7,000–20,000 rpm range.

Do not apply excessive pressure. Working lightly gives the most precise results and is gentle on the material.

Step-by-step protocol – first smooth the surface with Groove or Smooth, then proceed to final polishing with Buff and Paste.

Regular inspection of the tool – if there is a chipping of the polishing head or the tool does not rotate concentrically, it must be replaced.

Sterilization and hygiene – instruments are supplied non-sterile and must be cleaned, disinfected and, if necessary, autoclaved before use.

Recommended work protocol

= Surface preparation

After CAD/CAM milling or 3D printing, remove rough lines and irregularities with the Panther Groove PS210.

= Fine smoothing

Use Panther Smooth PS160 for even structural smoothing.

For small details and hard-to-reach areas, switch to Panther Smooth PT056.

= Final polishing

Apply a small amount of Panther Paste 02 to the surface.

Polish with Panther Buff PB220 to a mirror shine.

Tool support

In case of change in shape or reduced efficiency, use Panther Tune 01 to restore geometry.

Advantages for the laboratory

Accelerated workflow – the two-step system reduces processing time.

Precision – reaches hard-to-reach surfaces without the risk of deformation.

Versatility – works equally well with PMMA, dentures, temporary bridges and 3D printed materials.

Reproducibility – guaranteed result with every use.

Panther Polymer KIT #15 is a preferred choice in modern dental laboratories and one of the best-selling polymer processing kits. With it, you are guaranteed to achieve professional quality, fast work and long-lasting aesthetic results.
